2016 Honda Civic

Got a 2016 civic with module 77960-TBA-A030-M2 with what looks like renesas Rh850 MCU.

Can any programmers read these yet? I can't seem to find any that can do these yet.

I have a good module from another car with same part # and with that I have weight sensor error but no more weight sensor calibration on these new ones.
Looks like only way to fix is buy new weight sensors since I have module or new module which ever is cheaper, will find out tomorrow.

I got module like that as well. New module cost 600 usd. Interesting how long it will take for hardware developers to make programmer?

I called honda this morning, new module $600 and weight sensor assembly was under $60.
If my theory works I think for now cheapest way to fix will be used module (not crashed) and new weight sensors. I have used module and only code is ID mismatch with weight sensor. So that should be solved with new sensors.

I am still not sure if the guy at parts department ordered the right part as it sounds pretty cheap for seat sensors. Because it comes with 2 sensors and seat rails as an assembly.
Will update tomorrow when I get the parts.

For correct part # u can always go to web... My favorite is hondapartsunlimited and so on... Or dot com

Just a quick question, why can you not calibrate weight sensors anymore? i had same issue with 2016 accord, no weight sensor calibration available in menu, until i litterly subscribed to honda for 3 days, downloaded latest hds 3g and then had option for calibration, calibrated and no problem.

As for the programmer to read and write did anyone email ETL for the status of the programmer, im sure there in the works on it as they always are

satellitedreamd did you try Autel for the sensor calibration, they had an update a few days ago, i haven't got a car to test it out so not sure if it is working, but worth the try. regards.

If you guys do test with autel...give me feedback please... It was giving unknown code before too.. will like to know if they added code description and seat calibration.

I have been trying that but my MVCI won't update to the newest version so haven't been able to try. Latest version of software I had only had option to read and clear codes on this car.
When I looked up the code I'm getting on honda site it said replace sensors? I am trying to figure out why my MVCI wont update and I will give it a try.

I received the part I ordered last week but it was wrong, they said just packaged wrong so now still waiting for new parts to arive.
