I rename one time and only appears in menu but when its check the software mesage about disacording betwen smarbox sn and software will be displayed.
Sow in my opinion if you will change the version nr only will not work.

There are 2 flash on the main board of X431,U17 and U18.
You need to reflash that to have english language.
I have dumps for that,pm if you need.
Somtime when X431 have problems with boot(when device come up on lcd)this is a solution to repair.

Hi,
The best solution is to change the chips U17/18...Reflashed in English.

But you need to check your serial number again...I assume that supplier just sent the machine without putting the software(English) in the card...Even you change the Chips the machine will still won't work...You need to have a set of English software too to match the serial number
