Has anyone had the SmartBox Initialization fail after this cracked software usage?
I updated a X431 Tool and now the SmartBox downloding fails, the Resetting and Checking passed, just get a download error for any vehicle selected.
I did make a backup of the original SD card and now that is doing the same thing.

Sort of need to fix this as it is a friend of mines

Somtimes hapen to me too with some X431 Gx3,but the i have put back the software and its work.
There are differents encryption used in smartbox board,sow not always craked software posted here work.

Try to put back your old software and must work,if not i think you must flash your unit.

Normally should work when you put back your original files.
Try to format CF card and put again.
I am not sure that you need to reflash your unit cause in my opinion there is a problem with smartbox,but craked software cannot damage smartbox ic.
For flash your unit you need 2 dumps for U17 and U18 flashes IC on the main board inside the main unit.
I don t know another solution for flash it but i am sure exist,but dificult to find and have it.
I have dumps for X431 GX3/MAster but will not work on your device.

Well thanks again, I did a format on it and then reloaded the origianal files, let me try again, maybe I did something else wrong. Glad to know the crack can not damage the SmartBox, just FUBARed it temporarly.

Are there any otherthings I should look for or try to do to update or reset the smartbox?

I have an x431 launch that my partner bought a few years ago and I was trying to get rid of the airbag light on a newer porsche. The version on it is a little old. What do I have to do to update it to a newer version. Thanks. Please let me know if I need to give a little more information.

Update your scanner if you have a older version.
First contact your seller or go on x431.com

If you have a clone X431 find a craked software for your scanner.
