    Hello.
    1) Dear, first connect by jumper wire the pin 1 + the 16 of obd2 to have communication with engine ecu, and after with avdi go to Special function of (EZS-kESSY q7/a6) and click (Auto detect - from engine ecu) when it show you 6 cs + pin, so there put your transponder 8E OR remote and in (tag key tool) click Make Dealer key,and follow the procedure of avdi screen.
    2) if American system the car so must be your remote part number (4F0 837 220 A) if EUROPE (4F0 837 220 M ) if any missing or misunderstand me please let me know.

Hi, I have same situation , I followed your steps to read KESSY
    2006 Audi A6
How long does it take to pull component security from ECU?
It goes to 10 mins then says it needs more time , it goes to another 10 mins cycle.
Am I doing something wrong ?

AVDI will not read some older Simos Benzin ECUs. This mainly goes for older 2005 models here in US. You might be able to read info from EZS. Most require working key, but some older EZS versions do not. Try reading EZS with "have working key" option.

Guided fault finding = Feature that many factory scan-tools have and real technician despise it.
