Smoke it, you have a air leak.
Hi folks. I am having some issues but I don't know why. I have noticed couple of months ago when full load there was some squeak noise coming from turbo (I think) or something like air leak. Today I have noticed that a strange sound while throttling, the sound is noticeable in idle also and when you press the gas pedal. If you press the gas pedal there is a loud "whooooo". I have uploaded a video too so you can hear the sound. I tested using VCDS with no errors and the turbo seems making pressure in the range of the specification values. Is it the turbo or n75 valve? The uploaded video sound is 2000+ rpm. The car is Golf 5 1.9 TDI 2005.

I tried smoking and using foam and I found a leak on the EGR valve (where it connects with the turbo). Changed the rubber gasket and no leaks now but same sound. I went to the mechanic and he says it is probably the turbine. I don't think it is because there is no smoke at all. Also VCDS shows no error of under or overboosting and the turbine is doing pressure normally. Also there is noticable "wooo" sound from the turbine I think when on idle and low RPM. If I throttle harder the sound from the following video is produced. Anyone had this issue or maybe know how can I fix it?
Sounds like a bottom pipe has a split in, heard the same noise lots of times , they always split where you can't see them, you need pressure when you smoke them

@smirnoff_rules Thank you for helping. Could you explain bottom pipe of what please?
like these . remove under cover and remove pipes and check off the car

Also check you turbo compressor for any chipout or bends. I have seen melted turbine wheels as well, that will sound like that, caused by high egt after some bad chip tuning
