    Default Problem with cable reception

I've been using cable for years with a splitter without signal issues but I've just started having trouble.

I'm now getting poor service, even on the VM Tivo (picture breaking up, channels not tuning etc).

Both my Zgemma boxes are showing 'Tune failed' on quite a few channels.

I've replaced my two-way splitter, my cables and my male F-connector. No improvement.

Things are okay without the splitter but the set up now seems to be having the kind of negative effect I haven't experienced before.

Any ideas what to do? Should I get one of these?

    Yes, I'm subbed.

Getting VM out has crossed my mind but with a direct feed (no splitter) all boxes work perfectly.

Could the signal need amplifying to account for the splitter?
