Thanks Kizagt - i attach photos of cluster. I am unsure how to pull apart further without damage to gauges, can you explain please?
Hopefully the part numbers may help to identify eeprom inside?

Can this eeprom be programmed in place (in dash), or must be de-soldered? Can I program through cluster plug? or clamp onto chip?

What is best tool for this? I will only be doing this car no others, so prefer something cheap! Already spent much money on SMOK tool and it does not work for this car...

I also need to do this car many times, so something easy to use would be preferable!

You need eeprom programer to do this cluster
Best way is take out eeprom and read

Thanks Iffy2008, but I bought SMOK UHDS for P307 205- because it was supposedly able to change dash and BSI all from OBD. I try to understand why it does not work. Developer says problem with BSI?

It not change km dash, it only change km BSI. and what is vissible on display dashboard comes from bsi and not from mileage in memory dashboard. If there is a problem with bsi the block function not work. So mileage from dash go to bsi and display dashboard show old km...

Yes but not suitable for in circuit programming so remove eeprom for read/write

Is it possible to adapt used ECU MED9.1 to golf mk5 with Smok? Never did that one, only EDC16’s so im not sure.
Old ecu has been flooded but i can still pull the data out of the clocks.

The best tool is Abrites for all psa Peugeot & Citroen. Well I use a few tools

Abrites is:

888 + 1400 + 1400

Abrites make BSI partner 2015+ (with SPC560) only since 1 year when SMOK make it since 09/2015

Abrites make cactus since 09/2016 and SMOK 07/2016

But YES Abrites make some work than SMOK can't do it (like Continental after 2015, some bsi crypto don't work with smok....)

Tested on 2 cars But never worked for me, But you can open and swap eep.
Just look for the same ref.

I followed procedure like ik manual But No succes.

How do you guys like SMOK UHDS for VAG and Mercedes?

I am looking at tools for cloning DASHBOARD primarily and some ECU but reading mixed reviews on this tool for that, and also slowing of updates and innovation for future.
