You choose wrong flash file for sure. I made the same mistake when I did my first PCR SEAT to VW.

eventually got this - guess i was using wrong flash file...but another strange problem with comfort module...if battery is disconnected the module loses vin etc, i then need to write the original dump back to it so that it works again????????

I do not think Passat and Seat do not have same Power class. If power class do not match , it will not work.
Always use same part number form same model, then no problem ever.

(apparently it comes back to life when you make eeprom 24c16 back to original)

Dont need to buy new or used cluster just writing flash from backup and everything is OK , I have same situation two times and everything is OK with Smok never kill dash when flashing but with Dp4 2 - 3 times .

Don't look with diagnosis communication just with Smok Multi UHDS load backup your flash and press write and your dashboard it will be back to live.
