you ever tried odis on bench ? l can see chassis number but cant get to flash , wonder if it need to see more control modules ?

bad news...
my client decided to buy a brand new egr for his octavia 1.6 tdi
so, no pcr2.1 flashing over obd port.

he will be back in 6 months , make sure its from the agent they have updated this a few times

Or pays your money and take a chance, heard OEM only type to Buy, Now with the Garage Labour and OEM part , very very Expensive, LOL

they made them to large , lots of space for carbon to build up

ODIS can't update any ECU without car, key, dashboard....
ODIS cant write the same update number, only high number of update.

From this site download of files is not possible.

I agree with jakesman. If you choose the right option you can write ABS flash to ECU :-)

LaraVAG it's right about not be able to flash on bench with ODIS. It's possible if immo off or immo not active. Since you have ECU on bench immo is active (blocked) and ODIS will not let it Flash.

But you are not right about not be able to write same version or even older one. This I have done, and I'm 100% sure. But you have to uncheck option in:

Administrator\Functions configuration\Flashing (Engineering)\Activation version control

At least I was able to do it with my version. It's possible also that depend from version.

1. read oryginal file by OBD2
2. do your modification
3. correct CRC by genuine WINOLS
4. use ODIS, VAS, VCP
5. search FRF to this ECU
6. write FRF ( update software like in service )
7. when you have about 80% write software, disconet tool.
8. Now use Kess V2 recorvery and use before your file with CRC ok.

Now you know how to no open PCR2.1

If X17 it's working, then KESS V2 will have it in next update or very soon. I can't wait since I hate to open those ECU-s.

I have try to test your method on bench today. But since I was unable to Flash it with ODIS I will try some test to rewrite ori file with KESS V2 on bench and try to unplug at about 80%. And then I will try to recover with mod file.

Will see what happens.
