    Default vu + solo2 bricked

    HI all,
So I decided to upgrade the image on my VU+ solo2 box with the latest blackhole image. All went well according to the front panel on the box.
Got to the stage where it read rebooting in 10 , 9 .....
Then it froze with just the word vu solo 2 on the front panel.
After a bit of digging I discovered that my box is a clone! The rear panel fan cover should be perforated according to the picture of clone V genuine boxes I found on the net.
The guy I bought it from has gone out of business and cannot be contacted.

So Is this box totally knackered or can it be repaired? If so is it expensive and any recommendations for a repair service provider.
    I'm in Northern Ireland.
    Thanks.

You can replace the Flash chip that costs only few bucks, it's really worth fixing, and upgrading if needed to the v4 FPGA, and use naturally the images for that exact box (there is many including the latest OpenPLi 4.0 with IPTV support),
