Default Windows 10 Incorrect Screen Resolution

The edge of the screen is missing when laptop is plugged into tv, seen the same problem with a few laptops. Is there a fix for this?
    Thanks in advance

hi , only seen this once before on Lenovo's oddly changing the refreshe rate of the laptop scrren fixed it for me ..... and that's just strange if you ask me but you could give it a go.

and yes i know it sounds lame, best guess would of course be the res. of the 2. screen but dident do it for me, only the ref.rate changed to diffrent htz normaly set to 50 on lenovo labtop i think, change to 60 and bingo.

    good luck

    Aspect ratio on TV maybe?

Yep, definitely sounds like the aspect ratio on the TV. Try a few different settings and you're sure to find the right one soon enough.
