Default Issues programming a remote key for a Reanult Clio II

Ive come across a really strange one in the last couple of days.

I tried to program a 1 button genuine remote to a Renault Clio II (2004) where an existing remote is programmed.

First - Zedfull; Select Clio II etc etc, select 2 remotes to be programmed, pin code fine, success granted at the end, but neither keys start the ignition. Tried this process a few times, same thing happens.

Tried to program just one in, works fine on the spare key only! Tried to program just one in on original remote. Doesn't work.

Tried to program both in via SBB. Only allows one to be programmed, the spare one... original one still won't program.

Obviously I cannot program one at a time as all exiting remotes are erased... so I thought I'd take a look at the onboard transponder in the original remote... tried adding a new carbon one, still no luck...

So, I purchased another remote, exactly same sorry as above with original remote...

So currently; Only one remote is programmed into the vehicle, that being the spare one I purchased to begin with.

    Any ideas? So strange...

Had a similar problem with my sykes. Something wrong with the count. Had to go through it with an extra 1. So if like me, erase keys/ how many keys to prog? So if you have 2 then you enter 3. You know the rest.
