Good question, i dont se why the hardware should be different. But it would need a fw update for sure and thats the part where the chinese will tell you that you have to buy a new hardware

R280 its fake
i never see the the 1 Serie F20 , or 3 Serie F30, or X5 F15 ...or another bmw with FEM or BCD module which have XEP100 mcu

this cars have 9S12C64 twin MCU with twin 95320 eeprom...which still can not make calcul and checksumm to work together in just onw Module (FEM or BDC)

how can R280 can do this cars then ?

all this together 2 MCU and 2 eeprom can read it with another good tool , but can not make calcul to work together after on same PCB with out checksumm
