Default TM5402 M2 faulty ethernet port

    Hi,

I have just picked up a TM5402 M2 box, in really good condition etc.

I have patched it & everything , however the only fault seems to be a faulty Ethernet port.

I have tried different cables etc & just not getting any lights to come on near the Ethernet port to show it's getting a connection.

Is there a fix for this or has anybody come across this before.

I have the same problem with a tm-nano-2t. Everything is pointing to a faulty hardware (ethernet port, no lights).

Having tried everything with no success I've sent for a wireless dongle which should get around the problem.
It seems impossible to source a new RJ45 port with dual usb ports.

I have contacted TM with regard to the supply of a new port but don't hold much hope for that..

I will update on any progress made..

I don't think the wireless dongle works on the M2.I know they work on the M3(plus Tm-nano-2t and others).I take it you've tried a known working cable.I'd do a full reset(after saving channel list) and see what happens when you load unpatched software then patched.
