Default Mini [R53] - Help Needed BC1 Body Module Change/Program

Hi all, i have a 2006 Mini Cabrio[R53] which had water damage to the BC1 module. The module is the all plastic type with the 93LC76C eeprom on the board which i understood contained all the programming info ?
I managed to get a used BC1 with the exact numbers to match this car.

I tried to swap the eeprom on the new module for the eeprom off the old however the original eeprom was damaged (corrosion) and during desoldering a pin came away so i am unable to read the chip. I now need to program the new module. As i understand it the car will still start with the new module/chip as the security is handled in the EWS/DME but how can i now program the new module with the VO/Mileage from IKE/ SIA etc etc.

    So , a few questions:

I have programmed many R56 mini FRM module and know that the VO is stored in FRM & CAS but what about the R53 model ?

Am i correct in thinking VO is stored in IKE, can i use NCSExpert to read IKE and program the BC1 or do i need DIS/GT1/ProgmanSSS.

Can someone who has experience of swapping BC1 modules advise on the best way out of this situation, thanks

No the vin is wrong as its a replacement module and cannot fathom out how to change the vin.
Doesn't seem to affect anything though.

Hi , yes i would be interested in knowing that. I have DISv57 but the coding button is greyed out so trying to sort that out at present. I have an AK90 programmer on order as well. Problem is i DONT have the barcode for the key coding and there's no way of retrieveing it from the old module as the eeprom is damaged.

If you like send a PM

    Many thanks

I will send you a pm.
You don't do it by the coding button.
