Default Volvo S40 1998 two new keys to register

Have my first job in registering two new keys on a Volvo S40 1998. Got the keys from ebay, both with ID48.
What is the procedure? Do I have to programm both the immo eeprom and ecu eeprom? Will have the car on the weekend, so no dumps available yet.

You have wrong chips. This car use ID44 chip. To do this job, you need to read immobox (easy acces there) and generate transponder on blank PCF7935 transponder by some tool, dont know what u got..

Thanks, I've obviously rushed into buying keys, believing that any ID can be registered into any immo, as it is IDXX is the frequency channel the immo communicates with the transponder.

    According to "http://transpondery.com", VOLVO S40 1996 to 2004 uses:
    - Transponder PHILIPS ID33 or PHILIPS Crypto
    - PCF7935
    - Silca T15
    - JMA TP14

Do not have any device to program the PCF7935 transponder chip.

I guess there is some code derived out of the dump obtained from the immo eeprom that is used to program the PCF7935 transponder. Any suggestions on a cheap transponder programmer?

Is it possible to disable the immo altogether and just cut and use the keys?

Cheapest transponder programmer from dump is zedbull or TM100. About immo-off I don't know.
