I can't condone what she did but in the big picture of things I feel she has been made somewhat a scapegoat by police and media for a misdemeanour it would have been less costly and easier to show her the footage and allow her to hand the money back after all educating would be easier right from wrong and all that. Funny it is you know I don't remember last time bankers,big companies and such went to court or were given that much media attention they seem to get away with robbing public at every turn but no harm done eh?

I fully agree with ye Dougal, and the polis are jist pure bawbags anyway man, had many many of bad scrapes with them in the past and aye they come oot oan tap because theres hunners eh them kicking the shert oot ye fur nuffin man most eh the time, flrk the polis man.........

I goat caught shop liftin as I was totally skint, I mean so skint that zero pennies for weeks, so I found it easy to tea leaf oot the big named shops, that was about 30 years ago man, I am no ashamed of it at aw man, no way, ended up one time best christmas ever, all stolen grub from a supermarket, and booze too, great time that was, then I pushed my luck and as usual ye end up getting caught and I did, lucky for me I only had a couple of things worth about ?5.00 back then, so they were handed back but the polis still took me and gave me aw the pish under the sun and I said ok ok ok, I am starvin man, wit ye want tae dae, they done nuffin man, few oors in the cell then burd picks is up and oot I went.

tell ye wan thing though, being caught wiz such an embarrasment that I never EVER never done anything like that again, no worth the risk, especially noodays when the polis a jist brutal animal cocks that only want tae batter yer brains in for no even saying yer name and things, I cant stand the clurrnts .....

But as for that lassie wae the 20 quid story, I agree wae Dougal, they should have jist said here hen, theres the evidence that the disabled guy was rolling about inside a freezer cabinet and dropped a 20 note and you happend to pick it up, technically it's no theft as they would have had to have footage eh the guy sticking the note in the freezer and footage of her putting it in her pocket, without that there is zero evidence, and dae ye think they wid get forensics tae finger print the note to see the disabled guys prints oan it tae (nae chance man, costs way too much money), maybe he wiz trying to lift it up tae as someone else lost it, the disabled guy aw along could have been the thief and making stories up.

Its all a load of pish man and I feel sorry for the lassie, no the disabled guy, and hey, I am disabled, wits the big deal, they say that word DISABLED as if its meant to tug heart strings, utter tosh and pish man, I could see the point if she actually physcially robbed him or something, but no aw that pish man, no chance, ballocks.

Saltire my English skills slipping a bit, but I think I got the jist of what you said.
He left the note in the freezer, she picked it up, how is that theft? Theft is when you steal in from them -he left it there? The shop keeper would of later put in in their (pocket) till later!
Police easily spent time solving a case spending time in the warm office filling in forms instead of doing their job catching toe-rags. another few boxes ticked another case solved by the obese force IMO

the law says if you find something it dont belong to you and should hand it in to police, then if not claimed then its yours, mind didnt hand that muff diver in i found yesterday
