Angry Volvo s80 2008 immo problems after Odo correction

I have the same problem with two S80's -08 after correcting mileage with Obdstar X300M.
V70 up to 2010 have worked flawlessly, but now I am stuck with two S80s that display immobiliser - check manual and steering lock service errors. The cars will not start unless I disconnect/reconnect the battery. Even then the car will only run until its turned off. The next start after that will not work and the errors reappear.

Anyone with similar problems? The Obdstar support insist that disconnecting the battery will solve everything, but when told that the problem persists, their english skills quickly deteriorate.

its funny that ive been telling people that this tool randomly does this on some cars . its not a tool for the english speaking world.

Reading is fundamental, asking is easy............................

It seems rather unlikely to me that both of these S80's display the same symptoms at random even though other Volvo models have worked flawlessly, ofcourse no tool is universal, but now I am looking for a solution rather than feedback for this obviously flawed hardware/software

Did you save the backup? , gives you the option when you put it off

"Input the name of file to save" ....

Actually, I do have the original dumps, but this crappy tool doesnt allow for me to restore them, the only other option is to "synchronize mileage", which I guess is just synchronizing the dash odo to the CEM, and since these are 2008's I dont see why it would be neccesary. Want me to upload them? And any idea how to restore them? According to the chinese, the permanent solution is "turn off battery and should work" and "you only one with this problem" which I highly doubt. Disconnecting and reconnecting the negative lead on the battery does allow for one start, but thats it. As soon as you turn off the ignition and try to start the car, the entire cluster jitters for a fraction of a second and the same problem occurs. The only other way to start the car is to get out of it, lock it, wait for the dashboard to turn black and then it is good for one more start.
