Default Toyota Hi Lux Mileage Correction

    Hi Guys,

What's the best tool to use for mileage correction on 2014 Toyota Hilux?

Also is it a cluster out job?

    Thanks

Any eeprom programmer, read eeprom 93A66 in 16 bits, then search for a pencil and paper and write your desired mileage, divide it by 17 and the result you must convert it to hexadecimal, then repeat code in 17 instances from adress 0000 to 0021.

    From 0022 to 0043 put FF's

    Good Luck!

I want to buy from a UK seller as I am from UK and want fast delivery. I seen this item http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112098827849

I contacted the seller and he said it won't read 93A66?

Is this correct? I want to buy full kit for future projects aswell...

I should have the upa usb tomorrow just been looking into it and was wondering do I need to add power on it or will it power by usb? Do I need to change any jumpers on it? Which way round does clip go on and which way does it plug in on the programmer?

    Many Thanks

You must desolder eeprom from cluster and solder it in eeprom adapter of UPA, see image:

    upa board.jpg

    * Then plug in the eeprom adapter to Upa Usb.

    * Open Upa software and select the correct eeprom, see image:

    1.JPG

    * Then you must select eeprom 93c66 x 16, see image:

    2.JPG

    * After that, connect your Upa to the computer using usb cable,( does not need 12 volts) see image:

    3.jpg

    * Once you have done all here described, select READ in Upa software, then select VERIFY, see image:

    4.JPG

that is procedure to read any eeprom mate.

    Good Luck!

To program new mileage do it the following:

You can use windows calculator or pen and paper.

    * Write your desired mileage, divide it by 17 and the result you must convert it to hexadecimal, then repeat code in 17 instances from adress 0000 to 0021. See image:

    5.JPG

From 0022 to 0043 put FF's, see image:

    6.JPG

    * From adress 01DE to 01FF put all with FF's, see image:

    7.JPG

After that, select PROGRAM in Upa software to write new information, then select VERIFY.

    * Desolder 93c66 from eeprom adapter and solder it back to cluster (remember Pin 1)

    Job is done...Good Luck!
