    Default Redundant router

    Hi
I have a Buffalo AirStation WHR-HP-G54 Wireless DSL Router/Access Point with 4 port switch - High Power
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Buffalo-Air.../dp/B000BQ5ORM
I used to have it attached to my Virgin cable modem. Now with a new modem/router.
Can this be used elsewhere in the house inputted with a ethernet cable from new modem to make a 4 port thingy?
And will the aerial boost wi-fi signals?
    Or should I FIITC.
    Rob

Yes it can be used elsewhere. Just setup as a ap (access point)

If you want 'seemless roaming' have ssid and all security matching main networks.

Personally I have 3 routers acting as access points in various locations and different radios. Works well instead of repeaters

Cheers Cunny. Don't know half of what you said, but inspired me to have a go.
    All the best bud.

Forgot to mention that have main router handle all dhcp requests and turn off in second router otherwise you could end up with ip conflicts

And add sequential IP's to secondary router such as 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3 (192.168.1.1. is probably your main router).....adjust pool range in DHCP of main router outside these adresses e.g.:192.168.1.100-.192.168.1.240.
