With the amount of posts spread across different sections in the Satellite forums i though it might be a good idea to keep it all to one thread, A big thanks goes out to all the other members who have kept us up to date with what is happening regards the encryption change.

This affects all 3rd part receivers including Linux,Openbox,Skybox etc...

Please feel free to 'Update' or Discuss any changes from now on in on this thread but please could members remember to keep chat about this subject within 'Forum Rules' i think we all know whats going on and slowly but surely as the Days,Weeks pass more and more Transponders will be affected.

    Thank you

As things stand, some channels are duplicated on other transponders that are not affected, so you may still be able to view some of these channels

Digicon, might it be worth making this thread a sticky, then when more channels go blank you can just add these channels to the OP, also will give us a thread to link when people ask questions on why their $ky isn't working.

Definitely looks like hardware pairing of SD channels. Anyone holding an official subscription using an old SD only Sky box may well run into problems. As far as Sky is concerned any subscriber by now should at least be using a Sky+ HD box even if they only want channels in SD. Obviously anyone using alternative means to view channels is going to run into problems and be disappointed.

I posted yesterday but wasn't expecting further changes as soon as today. Particularly annoying as far as 12266H is concerned as Irish channels outside the ROI are difficult enough to receive as it is. It would indicate that changes to other transponders are likely to follow very rapidly. Whether a change of viewing cards is imminent we don't know as this particular generation of viewing card has be in use since 2009.

Red (0960) caid has also been about for a couple of years now but it wont matter if they do upgrade again so soon as nobody will recieve the channels anyway.

You will have to subscibe to the basic entertainment package using an ROI address and ofcourse an official sky reciever if you want to carry on viewing rte etc/should also be possible via iptv as these channels still transmit on 3rd party recievers using upc ireland i think...(taken over by vm now i believe)
