Default Need Help Please 2001 Toyota Rav 4

Some books say this doesn't have a transponder, others say it needs reflashing. Security Light is Flashing/Wont Start. I removed ECU, but there is not a IC900 label anywhere on the board., there is only an IC1003 spot with a 25080 AN CHip. Do I reflash that one? All I have is a Keylogic Red Pen Loader. Do i use the "Early Toyota 16 bit" file?

Im new at Eeprom, so I'm stuck

Cant say Ive ever seen a immo on a 01 rav4 in US.

sometimes cars have dummy security light that will cut off when the car starts even when there is no imo.sometimes they are also an indicator for the alarm system being active.

if you want you can send me the VIN and a p.m. I will check techstream. generally immobilizers are listed in the options.

if its an Immo chip on toyota for US model it will be a Fairchild F 93c56 soic8 chip on ecu. Have a good high res picture of pcb?

First of all I am the maker of the penloader and sleepyrz has provided good info. To help you out. Most USA flash bin. File are design for denso or delco even thou I never sold the wire set up for delco. Your computer that needs to be flash is a fujiso with a 24xxx family chip. I don't think I have a file in the penloader but it in the (ID Pro). That RAV4 must of come into the state from Puerto Rico Or Hawaii. There should be some posting here about that car.

I suggest you pick up a minipro/TL866 its a cheap but very powerful eeprom programmer, if you dont like to desolder you can use a clip to read or also if you like the prongs on pen loader you can build a prong style clip for about $30. Its good tool for beginners to have and will be just as usefull once your a pro.

In the future you may want to check out a tool like tmpro or my fav: tango from scorpio-lk. With it you can generate new keys or clone old keys straight out of the dumps with out the need to follow up with OBP or OBD tools to finish job.

There no incircuit reading with tl866 but I could teach you how to fix it, turn it into a IDPro. You could send it me and I will reset for you for free. It will help me create a new file for the penloader. Once again thank you for buying my tools I'm her to help you.

I purchased an AR32A programmer, but I'm having a hard time understanding how it works. There sure isnt many videos around for that thing. I really need to get this rav4 going today cause customer is under pressure. Then maybe I can relax and get a better understanding on how this whole eeprom programming works.
