(PLUSNET) Any one on plusnet broadband having issue with speed?

I signed for 76Mbps speed few years back and since last year I noticed the speed dropped to 35.48Mbps and when I checked today I am now only getting 16.61 Mbps speed.
Technical service at plusnet told me every thing looks ok on our side; there could be some thing wrong with the rooter or your end wiring need to be checked.
The down side is he told me if the engineer finds the wiring is faulty we will charge you ?60 and if we find the rooter is faulty you will have to pay for the new rooter, he told me all equipments are 12 months warrantee.

Is this true we have to pay for equipments even when signed for extended contract with the same company?

Go to public pay phone, ring the advertised number and ask as a new customer

my package with virmin is 20mb fine for dK, ebay and twitter, youtuba etc etc

Plug a none digital phone direct to the master socket if no noise on the line then your wiring is good
If its crackly or popping then its a problem with the cooper to the cabinet in road not your cost fault. If its FFTP ?
Why would you need to pay for new router tell them you wish to leave!!! watch the price come down, fault fixed and a new router
run a speedtest at different times of day see if they are throttling your service with other subscribers

Thats other thing I want to know can I ask them if you are going to charge me for new rooter, will I able to cancel my contract I signed for 3 years? Taking piss I will ask OFCOM to investigate...

One day you will all find out, failure all round no contact address advertised, no email addresses to write and if you call the customer service on phone the staff are not friendly.

Meet they are not playing by rules!!!
Getting interesting send letter and they returned it back not received; I will keep sending letters till I make a case.

I joined plusnet mobile because the package was cheaper then other provider only 2 months a go and they have raise the prices to ?3.00 from this month in theory OFCOM mid-contract rule apply, I will be contacting them soon.

Could be anything wrong with it.

If your plusnet are saying its find their end did they mention the sync speed??

Is it what your speed should be ?

Are you testing off wifi or direct? if wifi try direct. could be interference from another nearby router (frequency congested).

If the speeds are low, try plugging direct into the test socket and leave it overnight for the DLM to kick in. (dynamic line management).

If that fails you could have high resistence on your line

.. engineer would be required.
