    Default H2H Occasional Glitch

    Alrite guys!!

I have just got my zgemma h2h up and running on my Openatv 5.3 image (needs updating )for virmin but say if I go to a Sly HD movie channel it runs perfectly but say if I turn over to Clubland it freezes loads and screen goes blank for 10secs but will come etc?

I checked the signal finder and mine is SNR: 73% and the AGR: 7%

Any ideas what the problem could be plz guys??

    cheers!!

Does the picture actually go blank, or does it freeze?

Sounds like a typical "subject that we cannot discuss" problem!

Your box accesses the internet every 8 - 10 seconds. If it doesn't find what it's looking for then the picture will freeze untill it it tries again in another 10 seconds.

    Thanks for your reply hadron!

Been trying loads of different ideas to get this working right as its been doing my head in recently?

I will keep this subject to the forum rules tho!

Running the h2h on Openatv 6.0 but it appears that when on channel ITV you see visibly blotchy pixilating happening every so often? Flick over to C4 HD and its completely blank!

I cant see it being the image as the guys who set it up did it for cable option and all net ids are set to location maybe the tuner is to blame?

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

If you have loaded another image setup in a different location with the channels ......have you tried to re scan with your net id & channel SR rate for your area ?

Yeah but just because you set the Net ID.........thats not enough.........What signal rate are you scanning ?.......I.e.....Mansfild Notts NTL (NET ID)00008 (SR)6887

I think you setup is different to my box ?

I've a similar problem on a box. I can see it connecting and disconnecting all the time and it's not a signal or the other problem we can't talk about.
Gonna try it on wifi rather than ethernet to see if that helps.
Baffling me mine is the only box that does this yet all my friends using the same service are fine.

Try using a continuous ping onto BBC.co.uk and look for drop outs.

To be honest I'd say it's the magic word

Could easily be signal. Remember with Cable the signal can vary with frequency and often the highest or lowest frequencies are different to the mid-frequencies. The SNR guage on the ZGemma doesn't work, it always gives the same figure.

Definitely not the magic word. I've tried 135a and 138 and see it connecting and disconnecting. Soon as I restart it the bloody thing works. Same on all paid channels and all my friends work flawlessly. I do the boxes which boils my piss.
Changed leads and ethernet and different homeplugs plus ethernet on its own. Wifi is my last option as I can get it to work perfectly on 3g

Read on another forum it's possibly the mg_cfg file.
Is this a possibility if the box still works

If it was signal issue I'd expect signal break up, unless it's from box to house.

Does the Internet drop out? Hence why I'm asking to setup a continuous ping.

Get your friends keys folder and copy it over obviously making any changes required

Hi Cunny it's definitely a drop out with my Internet. Tried box today at 2 family members and no issues.
Tried it here again and set up wifi and it's still the same on both wired and wireless. Not sure how to setup a continuous ping
