I had the Usual Look around 'Google' but not much information on the MAC change apart from an E2 Script which will change it but this needs to be run everytime you switch the box on, So not an ideal solution

In a ViX image, look in the Network setup for the "Network MAC settings"

Yes it can be done. I had to do it on 2 solo2.

I will see if I can get the info soon as working away.

Ps when I'm home I will upload the files to this thread.

You just ftp them to correct folder and they will change the mac for you.

If I remember correctly you have to edit a file in correct encoding to the desired mac address. Again will update late weekend.

How to change Mac address on enigma 2 stb

OK before you try the following make sure you make backups as if it goes wrong your network could become unstable and you might have to reflash but this just worked for me.

    FTP to etc/network/if-pre-up.d

Here you should find a file named cm

Copy to desktop and open in notepad++

You will see your mac address.

Change to desired mac address, save and then FTP back to same location

    Reboot box.

    Done

Keep this file safe as if you reflash your box it will revert back to original mac and cause issues again. (i just backed up the contents of the network folder and FTP it back after a reflash)

Let me know how you get on

    Guys

Hoping you can help me here. xtremetv been working fine on a Sucmnsee build. Decided to try ipab image and noticed my Zgemma is advertising a different mac address. going back to Sucmnsee image its now still using the "Original" MAC. when i check info on the Xtremetv page i see 3 macs listed (one being the one i gave to my provided). any idea how i force it to take the mac i gave the provider.

Have tried contacting my provider but no luck on that front yet.

    Thanks in advance.
