    Default carprog A6 clip

    Hi all
I have just received my carprog (clone)
    The questions are,
on the A6 clip it has 1 white wire and the shrick wrap is also white (at clip end)
I take this to be equal to pin #1 ?
The eeprom i think is the st m95160 on bottom of bsi pcb, which way does clip
    go onto eeprom?
Is pin #1 under st logo on eeprom, nearest to resistor in pic?
Have arrowed in white as this is where i think the white
pin of the A6 clip goes.

cheers guys in advance, really need to get this car back on road
    just became grandad

No joke, as for programming the bsi, you make that statment and don't know anything about me.
I have been modding games consoles since the late 90's and have programed eeproms and pic's
    of all different sorts.
thru pic eeprom programing for digital tv cards. have lost count of the things i've done.
this is my first bsi, yes but i think it would't be the last.
I asked for the pinout orientation as the top surface of eeprom has some old damage, for what
ever reason, and the dot or mark that marks pin 1 is not obvious
as for the carprog with all the diferent conectors and clips, it's the first time
    i have used the software/hardware.
i was only asking the good members of this site for help and input on this subject.
when and what have you modded?? did you not need help from the guys on here?

So stick it in your pipe and smoke that

thanks for that johnner, do you use the carprog hardware?
I was thinking of using the A4 eeprom addapter, as it is a solder conection
something i'm used to using just got to get upto speed on colour coding
    of the carprog wires.
from what littel i have found out, it's 5v+ grd, hold and data
just have to make sure it's the right colour wire

    9 weeks premature
so i need to be mobile again asap
