Does anyone know if this is the same as the older PD fault on VAG group vehicles

yes same engine same faults

Even though it's 2.0ltr engine and how to tell it is the hotstart fault?

unplug the ect sensor and check if have any results

So you just think etc faulty

with this you wil see if the engine will start faster or the same.if will be faster then you must mod the file if will be no difference then we have another reason.eg camshaft sensor
