2004 LS 430 with smart key with twist knob

1 gen. Smart key with twist knob 2004 Lexus LS430. If all lost keys there is no way to program the proxy or remote section. All you can do is program transponder to work inside the twist lock. The steering lock must swap out with new virgin steering lock cost at the dealer $1,400.00
im try to find a matching set key and steering lock to read the dump. Has anyone work on these system before that could help me? The solution could save the customer lots of money.

Isn't the prox programming onboard after programming the transponder?

Nope must have a register master ( so key must have truck release button). If the proxy has no truck release it a valet proxy then.

My theory is same as Prius 2004-09 with switch button for proxy on the bottom of dash. Slut for nonproxy start. (Lexus would use twist knob). For proxy and remote to work you must reset the ECU. Remote & Proxy system share the command inside ECU. NonProxy starts are store in the Immobilizer. So there 2 different modules that will let these car start.

that looks like normal toyota keyless entry programming. Thats suppose to program prox function on the old twists?

i have done plenty of lost key on ls430, I have managed to program prox part and remote part as well. there other ways to do it. (kept secret )

However i never had problem steering lock.i never had to swap or virginise it

you need reset smart box the car using techstream or avdi...after you can resgister promitix . im try and done

No need to reset steering lock ecu.
Reset smart ecu dump then you can program smart system

Ray-Ray. I’ve done many AKL on these with mastertech. Prox reset is separate function from immo reset. Just need seed code.
