Anyone give me some definite information and a bit of advice regarding my car

Hello Lads Im not looking for anything apart from a bit of info.

My Car had the VAG emissions software applied and I want it off and replaced with the original factory software that the car left the factory with. People are telling me that VAG locked the ECU when they put the fix software on and its impossible to overwrite/remove and reinstall the old software even if you have the old software. My ECU is EDC17_C46 03L906018LD 03L906018ME

Can anyone that has done this for customers tell me if its definitely possible to replace this shite software with a previous one, Will it work ? Is there more than one software that will do this. what are they please. Thanks for your time Lads

Do you live in the US? if not, why did you have it done? There are loads and loads of vw owners all over the net wishing they had not had it done. If its not running right, take it back. There must be some sort of waranty. A customer of mine took his back. They couldn't find anything wrong, BUT the car ran great,,,,,,,,,wtf

No Pal I live not far from you, No warranty on software update. they say theres nothing wrong with software. but ive lost lots of MPG and lots of power. Regens now every 150/200 miles and sounds like a tractor. they did it without my permission. They are starting now to offer goodwill and replace EGR's injectors. fuel lines and dpfs but I know of people that have had 2/3 EGRs replaced in less than a year since having software updated. Different laws in the USA , buybacks /compo etc., Im not interested in that all I want is my car back driving how it should. Also they wont revert teh software at all under instruction from VAG as they have to do so many cars or they get a fine from EU
