Default Need help to clone a hard drive please windows 7 with multiple partitions

    Hello all

Need some help here lads and lasses

    I have a dell e6410 with a samsung ssd 1tb hard drive

I have 7 partitions and everything is working great at the moment.

However I would like to back up the drive completely so I have a fully usable drive should anything go sour with my ssd

So I have a 1tb internal hhd here I would like to use hoping I can although it's not a sdd?

I have a cable to connect it to the machine via USB.

I have ease us partition master 11.0 installed and have used it in the past to make my partion's

    All well thus far.

Last weekend I made a full backup of my ssd (cloned it) using said hdd and said software

All reported as went well. Took approx 9 hours to complete.

Disk boot up fine to the master main operating system

However if I go to any of the other partions I get the preparing your desktop message for a while. Then a load of pop up box's reporting this and that dll missing. Eventually a msg saying I can use a virtual desktop. Then I will see my softwares on my desktop I would like to access but there icons are incomplete and the shortcuts fail to work....

My question is... why is it falling to clone 1 on 1 and is this because I'm going from ssd to hdd?

And of course how can I fix this???

Thank and rep to all who can help me find a solution to my problem

    Thabks Norman
