When 9389116 worked after the update, I asked if they'd finally fixed 9389115, and the response was, "You can try it."
Tech support at its best.

When did you ask? When was the update for 9389115? Because key was done last Wednesday october-03-18 i mean in the end new key works no problem its just that after downgrade there was no ignition, no crank nothing on both new and original key so all this extra work had to be performed as i mantioned couple posts before, and i wasnt even 100% sure that these steps would work, i also thought that cas would have to be pulled out and done on bench. And same day before doing the job CGDI was updated
The last update. A couple of weeks ago. I'm sure 9389116 was unsupported at the time I had 9389115 problems.
I asked one of the Tech support people on tbe WhatsApp group. Are you on the WhatsApp group?
Im not sure i massage them on FB massanger and omg NO COMMENTS, first they replayed with “ HI” thats it than i capied and pasted my questions and couple of days later they replayed “What is your question” i was like what the hack is going on are they playing or what , so i asked again and they replayed “ ok sorry for late reply delay” its crazy no support at all person on FB massanger is Anna Zhao.
If you WhatsApp her and ask her to invite you to join the WhatsApp group.
Ok will try that, btw how did you know that this cas was unsupported? How can i find out which are and which arent ?
It's the CGDI BMW Tech Support group administered by CGDI. It couldn't be more relevant.

When it was done it did NOT SAY “version not supported” it was as normal as others but in the end after downgrade was done and key was generated RED STEERING LOCK on cluster after new key was inserted into ignition.
You often get that on E60 and E90. Cas/ELV synch clears it.
Ooo yes i know but this was something else for sure, i did have it before where a simple elv Reset counter with cgdi got it cleared in 5sec, but this one did not, cgdi would not clear it, tool32 would not clear/reset , no ignition so ista d would not connect , no crank, nothing, only ista p connected program it and in the end one error was still on, ignition came back on cgdi would still nit reset elv , finally tool32 got it done and car started, so there has to something with that cas part#, just wanted to let everyone onow what happend
