Question Acura ILX 2013 EEPROM Reading Help? [Newbie Question]

    Hey Guys,
First off, my terminology might be atrocious, this is my first time attempting something like this. Now that that's out of the way, I'm currently working on an Acura ILX 2013. Right now I'm trying to clear the crash data so that the airbag light would disappear, but I'm having no luck with it currently. I have gotten to the SRS Unit, but I'm not too sure where the EEPROM Chip is. I have pictures of the two 8pin chips that I found, along with the lettering/numbering on them. I have CarProg v10.05, v9.31 and v8.21 as well as their whole set of adapters. I'm planning on using the A6 Clip to connect to the chip.

The issues that I'm running into:
    1. I can't really pinpoint which one the EEPROM chip is, though I'm guessing it's chip #1
    2. I can't find any of the chip #'s on either chips, they should usually start with 93C, 24C or 95, but I don't have anything that matches

If you guys could point me to a thread that already answered similar questions or help me out, that would be great!

    Chips that I found:
    Chip #1
    Line 1 - L9637D
    Line 2 - ST E9225
    Chip1.jpg

    Chip #2
    Line 1 - 50PGV
    Line 2 - G122
    Chip2.jpg

    Cheers,
    ForeignFighter

What is number srs unit ?
You use srs units files at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damages. Don't ask about passes, one file=one pass.

Default Acura ILX 2013 EEPROM Reading Help? [Newbie Question]

I checked under the big capacitor, nothing with 8 pins under it

I'll keep looking for a chip with that number on it though.

I got some better images of the whole board here as well.

    Quick update,
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to read the EEPROM chip, here's my setup, as well as the results that I get from carprog. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions!

I will try and do that. Is there a reason why the EEPROM has to be disconnected from the ECU to read it? Also, when the chip is desoldered, can I still use that A6 adapter to read the chip or will I need something else?

PS: Here are my dump files that I get when reading on chip while it's on the ECU, I get different results when I switch sides with the A6 chip

Im a newbe to all this just like you and i found if your using a6 clip on eeprom, clean the legs first. i use a small sharp tool to carefully scratch off the laquer,(i think thats what it is) so as to get a good contact with the clip. I saw someone doing it on youtube. But like i say, im a newbe and dont know much.

Firstly, you are trying to read wrong eeprom. The one you need is 95640 which is on the front between the 2 mcus.
You wont be able to read it with a6.

Right on, thanks for that, I'm guessing I desolder, and read it from there?
Newbie question, are all eeproms that size?
