I have Astra H and made a lot of testing.
This is not possible. (if you use regular PCF7936)
Also if programming has failed, the chip shouldn't be locked. Check if it is in chipper mode. You can reuse is for sure.
Although PCF7936 is from the family ID46, and can be theoretically used, this is not possible
beacuse Astra H expects 7941 chip which can be recognized on the number "6" on the 7th place (from left to right) in the chip ID.
Therefore the Chinese developed own version of PCF7936 chip , where chip ID can be programmatically changed.
They can then change the ID to what ever they want, and simulate any chip of the ID46 family.
In this way, the car is fooled, that it is 7941 chip, but it's only a 7936 chip.
Those chips, where ID can be changed, are used for cloning (CN900 mini etc...) and are more expensive then regular PCF7936.(where ID can't be changed)
Also please keep in mind, that the Opel antenna is week , and sometimes does not recognize the PCF7936.
You have to turn the ignition few times more, in order to start car. It's not that bad, but can by annoying.
Therefore I would not waste to much time trying to use PCF7936 with Astra H.
I hope this info helps you further.
