NEC .081 can't reset today, tried like 30 times... Read is always OK

I'm with you on thee key issue but the elv is good because i have a working key and everything works on that one except the remote. I tried 2 keys a used oem Key and a cheap Chinese eBay key both of them have me the same result.

Sometimes happens because the tool IR is not as good as the Benz IR in the car. Did you try to read without the key shell? It may help.

No I didn't try read key without shell but I don't think it would help as IMO this is software bug. I never had problems with reading original NEC keys via IR, no single problem before.

Well there's a first for everything. It happens sometimes - I experienced it. It happens mostly when the key shell has been replaced and is not the original and also when dust and dirt builds up inside.
