With ELV problem you can erase dtc and car can start again. But E415 is the ignition switch I think, where you put the key in. Buy a used from ebay for some bugs and test! :-)

    Good luck.

    Greetings MR...

The ignition switch E415 does‘nt need to be programmed. Just plug &play. But before changing I would check power supply and wiring.

The keys are stored in ELV. The ELV („Elektronische Lenksäulen Verriegelung“, Elektronic Steering Lock) is the immobilzer in these cars. Some tells this EZS. EZS is „Elektronischer Zündanlass Schalter“ in german. Electronic Ignition Switch in english. This would be E415 in Q7, but in Q7 this is only switch with reading coil and magnet to hold the key. So it does not need to be learnt. It‘s no intelligent part... :-)

You have permanent 12V on T2a/1 and T6a/1, both red/blue. Both cables get this power from SB10 (ST1, red). Fuse box driver side (left side steering). 30A. Then you have a lot of connection direct from E415 to ELV. I dont believe, that the ELV is the problem. Either wiring or E415 it self. Just buy a used or new and try. I dont know, whether I may post the complete wiring diagram here in forum. If you need it: PM me...
