usually kess makes the wrong checksum
you can read ecu by bdm and fix it with winols

    this is not a problem
    can be corrected with bdm
I've had this problem several times
if you want post here your original file read with kess and the file read with bdm

Use always Fgtech for BMW! Fgtech also write EDC17cp02/06 with tricore. When not done it give error message and you can write ori back.

Kess do wrong checksum for BMW and ecu bricke sometimes..
FGtech clone also works good for this ecu.
