you now have backup.....write original eep to dash and see !!! or take out dash read eep and compare with original one from backups.....

the way I see it, could be that the eep data was not written completely, or the eep has gone bad... when starting the car it increases voltage, but as salkapone said, put orig back and see how it goes.
As Salkapone mentioned, load ori dump to eeprom in cluster and see if everything is working fine, done few days back F11 2011 with cas4 , i never put 0km just 1024km as it will take out value during sync, and used car for 2 days without cluster, then 2 days later done cluster and everything is okay, so yours eeprom reading is corrupted and you need to use backup, or if you dont have backup you need to flash dash using ICOM or any compatible passthrough cable with ISTA-P
i have compare the old and the new dump there is 512 byte mismatch.... when i put old eeprom same thing and eeprom get corrputed again..
if i read many and many time outside the circuit eeprom data is the same..
the problem is that some byte are changing when i solder eeprom back to dashboard...
so what do you think ?

i think you need to flash instrument cluster with ISTA-P
you lost half eeprom data because you read and write 160DQW like m35080
problem solved by coding dash again to the car at bmw dealer
cost was 100$

For the next time you can use E-sys for this. Most times after changing mileage retrofitting cluster the coding file is gone. You simply have to inject the coding file and it will work again.
