you must test and test and test even when you are dreaming my friend, electronic is deep, you should know what is for every single component and learn yourself, i don,t think there is someone or someguide who can help you to learn, problems are allways different from each other, so keep looking video tutorials online

all I can say from my side is that most IC fail because of failed transistors and diodes , mmmmm but what caused the parts to fail ? there start the other questions , sometimes u can see damage but now I have a edc16 ecu with me no visible damage but no communication on can or k lines and no chips heat up , so yes it go deep , if u are lucky to find somewhere in the forum a repair guide it will help long time ago I got Bosch ecu manuals but also very basic but give u an idea what part of the ecu do what work

I got manuals from another site , but I will try and find link , but to answer u , different ecu have different ic , so best is google the ic number u suspect and see what u get , but sometimes injector driver is ic and sometimes it is transistors , so difficult to give u a straight answer , I will get stir crazy mad if u try to understand all the ecu's but google and compare working ecu with non working one , this is a specialised job and I think a lot of members here will tel u that they have been fixing ecu' s for years and still it is a chalsnge sometimes
