I'm going to try this week the yanhua tool and I tell you how it works on the x5 f15 of 2014 the only thing to reset the gearbox is the key and the dme I do not know how to do it: S bmw explorer a lot of money is worth if at least many were done cars would be profitable but maybe 1 a month of bmw is a lot of disbursement do not you think? to see if with yanhua I can solve this problem: D and I tell you my experience

You going to have to open the fem module anyways so why not just put in a filter and done...rest of module will reply back with the # on the dash.
I am curious why this isn't one of your option?

    Hi
Yanhua has a problem restoring coding after you upgrade Fem. If you don't have Bmw computer you won't be able to restore coding and car won't start.
I have tried 3 different Fem modules all same problem. No option to erase history etc. Only option is to add keys and zero out fem.
    Thanks

Some devices dont restore automatically cafd. Who works with fem\bdc must have esys or istap to code fem\bdc after key making.

    Hi
Make sure you back up coding 1st. The reason why your getting that error is because you read the eeprom at the wrong time. You read the eeprom before you clicked step 2. You have to click step 2 then wait for message then read eeprom and save. I had same problem till I figured it out cause instruction are not clear. It will work if you do it the way I said. After you do step 2 then you have to restore coding. If coding doesn't restore reset fem with tool then recode with bmw computer.
    Thanks
