Default How to monitor usb:serial port traffic

    Hello everybody.

unfortunately im not very good with software yet, but im trying to learn.

my question is, if i have a device which is operated by serial port, thru a usb to serial converter, is it possible to monitor whats happening?

so i want to see what the pc and device are saying to each other.

is there a software that does that?

    thanks.

    Download PuTTY open source software
    http://www.putty.org/

PuTTY is an SSH and telnet client for the Windows platform.
And the most used software for this type of application.

A com port connection is for 2 devices only (one in each end)

So you will need to connect to the line in parallel with independent pc (RX only) 2 wires pin 2 and 5
