Default Polo 6N2 Immo EEPROM help

    Hi guys.

First to apologize in case I posted the thread in wrong forum.

And second on to the problem.

So I recently got a Polo 6N2 (2001, 1.4 mpi 16v) and I'm trying to read the ECU and Immo EEPROM but all I'm facing is errors or problems.

I've tried bunch of cables and softwares (clone ones) like:
    VAG CAN PRO
    VAG KKL
    VAG COM 409.1
and even clone VCDS VAG COM

I even tried using one software argdubs tool (me7_95040.exe)
Tried VAG EEPROM Programmer, VAG K Commander and bunch of others.

Bear with me as I'm not a car electrician or a mechanic or anything related with cars ... I'm a software developer and I found this interesting but cant really find whats the issue ...

One reason I need to read the ecu eeprom is to check the mileage (not important but I simply wanted to see how things work).

Another thing is that I simply cant find the VIN number on any of the softwares (so far) I've been using.

    What could be wrong ?

Attached are some screenshots from some scanning

Response from the VCP 5.5.1 when trying to read the mileage via the special functions:

    Reading data ...
    Opening communication with ECU
    Mode :1281 Baud: 9600
    Reading identification ...
    ECU :036906034D MARELLI 4LV
    Login ...
    Access to ECU denied.
    Error reading mileage

    Response from argdubs tool:

    C:\Documents and Settings\VMUser\Desktop>me7_95040.exe -p2 --OBD -r test.bin
    Ver: 1.31
    Com Port: 2
    Baud Rate: 10400
    Opening COM2 ... OK
    Initiating communication ... FAIL. (error=0x07)
    Closing COM2

(sometimes on this argdbus tool I received error 0x01)

    and so on ....

Something doesnt feel right about this car. Could it be some parts of the ECU are tampered, replaced, dead maybe ?

Attached are some screenshots from my tries.

In one of the screenshots (READING IMMOBOX EEPROM) there is also error message (idk why it didnt went in the screenshot) saying 'Login failed'

In case you need some extra info, scan, screenshot feel free to ask. I'll provide it.

Thanks in advance and Any help would be appreciated !!!

    Default

Reading some Ross-Tech info ... seems my VIN is missing from the Immobilizer (WTF). Its all XXX

    From ross-tech site:

Immobilizer (integrated in separate Immo Box)
    [Select]
    [25 - Immobilizer]
Look at the first "Extra" field. The first 17-digit string is the VIN. The second 14-digit string in the Immo-ID.
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

Which in my case its XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

    How is this possible ?
