That is eMMC chip.
Read more about it and it will make it a lot clearer picture to you.
eMMC also can store boot partition.
Hi Friends,
I have a problem with a Uconnet 8.4N year 2012, mounted on Fiat Freemont, same as Dodge journey.
The navigation does not work, the GPS maps are still "loading"
I tried to do all the updates but it does not work, the flash is impossible, message error.
I think the previous owner wanted to make a recent update and the system crashed, and it's not possible to go back.
I went to Fiat, who want to replace the complete unit.
I have another Fiat Freemont equipped with the same Uconnect system. I reversed the 2 board, the Uconnect works again.
I would like to repair, the GPS maps are stored in the Sandisk sdin4c2-16g.
My question is, if I replace with a new virgin sdin4c2-16g, do you think that will work? There is no need for a file to boot and to be able to install the firmware and GPS map?
Alternatively, if i read the current sdin4c2-16g and erased? possible to work you think?
Do you know a programmer with which I can do it?
thanks
