Default As of November 2017, what's the best anti-virus/anti-malware protection??

I've done a lot of searches on google but most of the responses seem outdated. Plus i would rather hear real reviews.

I currently have McAfee Live Safe (which I got a 1-year-free subscription) and also Advanced System Care. I know both aren't the best but I also see much confusion on the web as to what's the best alternative. Any help? because i am also sought of confused.

i have used avast antivirus free edition for a number of years without any problems and as far as anti malware goes i use malware bytes anti malware free edition, there are paid for versions of both which will give you more cover if that's what you want.

I stumbled upon this comparison and the one thing that i noticed was that all the anti-viruses did not offer P2P protection. Is there someone that knows more about P2P protection??
