No problem secured mcu with x-prog clon if desolder MCU and soldering in x-prog adapter for mcu.Or if lift mcu pin like EXTAL,BKGD,RESET.
And who working with secured mcu he know best for reading desolder mcu or lift pin.
    Good luck.

    What could be the problem?

Where to store key data? Eeprom or flash?
I rewrite the data to a ezs but did not start the car and the dashboard lines out.
