    Default Vauxhall Astra Z17DTH 2008 problems

    been asked to look at this today with P2279-11 dtc

    only happens on over run and so far customer has had a garage fit new

    Air mass meter
    EGR

    and still problem persists

    its been smoke tested for leaks but nothing shows is there anything common to cause this i.e. turbo / pcv valve etc

    Also is there something missing from this PCV valve in the picture

    I would recommend firstly checking the MAP sensor and gasket for tightnes/leaks and function.
    Next take a look at the EGR piping and pressure test the intake system from turbocharger outlet to the throttle body.

    New map sensor has been tried customer told me.

    Has been pressure tested with smoke machine

    Don`t trust the customer or previous repair shops.
    Best to check everything yourself.

    They have old parts in the boot of the car to confirm they've been changed
