Just an update, I programmed the old and new key again, under the standard method, identified as can A3, then proceeded with the key programming, then I saw the "Safe" turned into 1/1, then safe again with the second new key, so I guess faulty chip, or precoding, the owner then decided to take it to dealer. So I am sure the new chip and 7bite precoding would have sold this problem, thanks all for your input.

Is any one using daily this new kia update for pin reading....anything i try 2016 upward dont work...
Last one i had is sportage new shape 2016 up..and pin fail.

It failed on me with a Sportage 3rd gen, too. None of the options worked and I don't have a sniffer.
KD-X2 decoded the PIN effortlessly from the working key, instead.

It was smartkey? They copied some functions from Londsor and charge for that like for Londsor But Abritus claims to do almost 100% of cars.

This is maybe 7th car since i bought update and not one worked for me..
Tryed with wo r king key and sniffer fail as well.

What`s the success rate on the new software ?

Its not working on all clusters. It fail on me on mk7 tdi. But it was JC clocks so no wonder
