Read Galletto manual, there is all explained.
Hi friends, can you explain me few things
Few days ago got a fgtech galletto clone, never do this job but i wish to try "something" to see how its gonna be
First I try to read few cars with obd, put the mini gender changer and try: Ford focus 2002 Delphi mpc555 cant see ecu data and cant read obd, on both commands reaches up to 20% and get error0, Opel Astra G 2001 edc15 can see ecu data, goes up to 100% but cannot read because read button is grey, golf IV 2002 edc15 can see ecu data and can read
So as I see obd reading isnt such a good thing so i decide to try bdm or boot, i have Visteon DPC-633 1S4F-12A650-XG, its from a junkyard no harm if i kill it, but can someone explain how to connect it to Galleto, what cable, pinout... Please use newbie languge

If you started play with ecus you should buy kess and ktag because some ecu can be read by galetto and some by other tool.
need help
now my goal is to buy xp-005
who will help?

Kess v2 eu red from aliexpress is on the way, i will order ktag too but when kess comes, to avoid customs problems, also i order bdm press. This is all for the test, i know that china clones without rework are risk but must see can i do this
I would like to read this visteon on the table, with this galletto, found something but need more info how to, is this all or i need to solder somewhere on the board

Thank you very much, so i need to remove this and solder it back to the board, no way, also need some special adapters and tools
Nevermind, bad choice of junkyard ecu, i will buy delphi mpc555, have one on the car and it will be good to have one on the table, if i see this corectly from the galletto manuals that should be much easyer
Thanks again for the tip
It is still possible to read the ECU using Xprog.

What are u using for the 12v power when you work on the table?
It must be some expensive tool or I can buy cheapest that i find?

I use a laboratory power supply. It has a wide range of electrical voltage. It is used to power the ECU as well as to test LEDs and various other things. On e-bay $ 65. If you use the Ktag clone, sometimes you will need 14 volts to read the ECU.

I found a few units in my country, 0-30V, but they have with 3A and 5A, is there a rule for ecu or bigger the better

yes..bigger is better, definitely take 0-30V/5A...even you find 10A should not be problem...if you know how to reduce current..
Ecu is not so bigger consumer..about 400mA.., but you should have more than 3A if you want test on the bench..for example..scenic dash, suspension pumps, LED & xenon lights and so on..

Ok, didnt ordered yet, bdm press and adapters didnt arrive so i have time but im thinking that my galletto clone will pop up same error on bdm like on obd, i saw a youtube video with that error on bdm and it makes me very unhappy
Lab. power supply one or two channels, in galletto manuals some ecu need 2x12v power???
And... dont know a thing about this, but im ordering tools and count on the forums support, its very hard, donth have electronic experince, few weeks ago i got my first soldering station, multimeter and few other tools so i practice on the old computer motherboards, we will see... Maybe i catch, maybe not but at least i was try
