    Default Torque monitoring EDC17C59

    Hello.
Could anyone explain how to disable torque monitoring in this ECU and in other EDC17? What is the procedure for increasing the Torque monitoring limit or total shutdown?

No. If you cheat Nm2Iq, the torque monitoring will cause faults. You have to make proper tuning to avoid fail. EDC17 calculates IQ2NM conversations and compares with Driver deamand monitoring map. When it exceeds will get a torque monitoring related faults.

Always when tuner can't make proper tuning and using Nm2IQ decalibration will cause this faults, and need to be disable torque monitoring. If you can make all proper calculations, no need to disable that

ok, I never decalibrate Nm2Iq. Sometimes I have to convert to give bigger mg of fuel but through extrapolation. If I change DW, TL and other standard maps without changing Nm2Iq, will I get a DTC? If I have to extrapolate Nm2Iq, will I get a DTC then? How do you disable Torque monitoring?

No, you cant get dtc if you extrapolate nm2iq. If you increase DW maps you have incease DW monitoring map also (map at the beginning of file). DW map values have to been higher that basic DW maps.

You can turn off only by swithces. Some ecus have hysteresys, but in Opel only by switches.
