Hello,looking to find out where is transmission switch (A/T , M/T) in map from EDC15 e39 530d,
My car has manual transmission is coded for M/T , but there is always fault in DDE "CAN communication with EGS"
here is dump from my ecu , maybe someone can help with that

Is it 184hp or 193hp?

I belive is 193bhp map, that why is A/T , there is bit long story behind that,when I get car there was some (bad)modyfied map,car was very lazy,big turbo lag, at dyno show around 300Nm max torque, so I find ori file with the same sw and uploaded to ECU, again dyno and without any mod 484Nm 193bhp ,everything is fine...except that fault,cause that fault causing engine drag brake not working right.
However ,I got PaSoft ,Inpa , Ista/d....
-Pasoft showing M/T
-NCS M/T
-ISTA/D -indentyfing screen showing 5speed M/T
-one of screen in DDE function "automatic transmission: yes"
-all software showing "EGS can communication fault"
After upload my "old slugish map" fault disapear ,but again not pulling like should be,so again 193bhp map,fault apear,drag brake not work but driving fine.
AS far i know this dde has 2 maps one for automatic and one for manual and they can be switched. Automatic map has less torque at lower RPM

That's right ,so how switch those map?
AS far AS i know only the last bit in the map tells wether automatic or manual. Your Problem should be solved by calculating and writing a New zcs with ncs expert which tells the vehicle that it is manual. Should work with BMW Scanner or ncs expert pretty simple.

Well,new ZCS should be write if car was converted from A/T to M/T but in my case only map is changed,
however car is indetyfied like manual so maybe im wrong but think is nothing to do with ZCS.
Edit: Problem solved. Anyway thank's for replies.
