What fault codes do you have?
Hi guys
I need some help here.
Flashed a EDC17C19 Insignia ECU and now the car wont start.
When I open the door or turn of the ignition there is a strange sound coming from the engine bay, sounds like a actuator is moving or something.
Tool used is a 7.020 ktag clone, it says the write was successful.
Any ideas what might be causing this?

Why you flashed ecu? Checksum good?

I have only ever used my 7020 twice. The second time was to write a Mercedes b class it did not ask me to do the chks. The car started once cut out and never started again I have dtc for chks. If i was you I'd wrote back origonal with another tool. Or if you have not another tool try woth your 7020 again wrote origonal

I think I have sourced the problem to my tool or/and software.
When I write a file and read it again its been messed up in the are between 013FE4 and 017FE4

I have attached the original file, and the original file after I wrote it with ktag and read it again.
dunno why read file has some extra data at the begining...did u check eeprom read too to see if it got corrpted? cause ori looks fine!
You sure no solder left on PCB or bad solder job on Boot pin ??
I have a eproom read on my computer, will check it tomorrow.
Everytime I write the ori file and read it again it will come out with a 100% match to that file with extra data in the beginning.
No soldering involved, used a needle for the boot pin
I have a kess that i tried in tricore. But it wont ID, read or write the ECU.
But it says it can do TOTAL read or write.
So maybe if somebody have a TOTAL read from this ecu I can to write it?
